Although I don't know how true his stories are, the book appears to be written by someone who "was there" and is honest about his feelings both good and bad--and terrified--while working in the business. It is, however, an odd mix of porn stories followed by a huge diversion mid-way into the lies of a Mob killer. The biggest problem is the lack of proofreading; I don't understand how an intelligent person can let a book full of misspellings, endless punctuation mistakes and poor diction allow his name to be attached to it.
This is a very well written, fact filled book. It combines excellent research with first person anecdotes. No where else will you find information on the seedy underbelly of the porn trade. Even if you don't watch porn I don't the insights into the business and life-style of the players is fascinating.
