I can't afford massage here in the US, but often when I am traveling I do enjoy it. An expensive massage at a resort or spa will cost you Prices go down from there based on the quality of the establishment. If you walk around the city the scooter-taxi guys will ask you if you want to meet a "nice lady"or if you want a "sexy massage" I'm not so sure a sane person would take them up on the offer though.
Personaly I never got one there but my friends and family have said they are very thorough. Yeah, there are more expensive massage places, but I assumed the OP want to know about the cheap but really good massage place. I got a massage from the hotel where I stayed, Equatorial. It was45 USD per session, but it included one hour massage, steam room, facial, hair cut, drinks etc However, I would much preferred the Blind Massager Institute. About twelve times in three weeks in Vietnam.
Why such blanket statement? Every third shop in Vietnam is a massage parlor? This statement is nothing but a ignorant and prejudice slant. It is just stupid and ignorant. Every third shop I saw was selling little plastic Buddahs. I guess it's all in what you are looking for. CK is right, alot of massages come with a trip to a day spa. Steam room,pool,Manicure,pedicure,ect. You can stay at a cheap hotel and spend the day at someplace fancy for the price of the spa and pool.
The Vietnamese are alot more civilized than people give them credit for. I have been told that pre-marital sex among themselves is not even an issue for young people in the middle and upper classes-it's just not done I'll get off my soapbox now ha ha.
