Jeonju is located a few hours away by bus ride from Seoul, South Korea. The place is cozy, comfortable, and rich in history. Excellent customer service. This hotel would have been fabulously high-tech in the 80's. Located very close to the historical old village.
Great Korean breakfast; so-so Western breakfast. Were put in Brothel for first night by organisers, moved out as it was dirty and disgusting. Havana although looks tacky from the outside, was comfortable although minimal. There is no other Motel better, and for KWN per night, is a bargain. Nice 46 Inch Flat Screen.
Put up at the Core Rivieria for 1 night while on the way to visit Mt Daedun, about an hour's drive from the hotel. Touted as a 5star Korean standards, equivalent to international 4 star hotel, it certainly did not live up to standards. Checked into the hotel at about 8pm, and as with Korean custom, bags were not delivered to our rooms and guests have to transport their own luggage.
Corridor was very dimly lit, and it was near impossible to see the room number on the door without going up to each door itself. The room also smelled very heavily of smoke, which probably is a common complaint as there was a bottle of air freshener in each room. Even then, after heavy spraying and airing of the room, the smell still lingered. Reception was kind enough to offer a change of room despite the late hour. The buffet breakfast was, however, a very sorry affair.
What was on offer could hardly be considered a buffet--ham, scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. Coffee was even worse than what you might get at your local McD's so you can imagine the standards.
