We had a Sunday lunch buffet there 2 weeks ago. Food quality was good during the buffet. We enjoyed the environment as well as it is next to a pond. My husband and I read about Cassiopeia on the in-flight magazine from Berlin-Copenhagen. The photo of the view it affords was the primary enticement but the write-up about the food sounded great too.
We were not disappointed. We shared a delcious plate of mussels cooked in white wine and herbs. I had a perfectly grilled fresh salmon with baby potatoes and my husband had a splendid steak with fries.
We also had a very interesting conversation about Denmark with Simon who waited on us. The view of the lake, the serenity of the atmosphere, the fine food, the elegance of the whole experince makes Cassiopeia a must visit in Copenhagen.
Beautiful views of the water anywhere in or outside. Very friendly wait staff. We only ordered drinks and sat there for a long time, but not once were we made to feel like we should leave. And when we tipped as though we had eaten full meals, the server was extremely grateful and even seemed a little touched.
Perhaps the best hot chocolate with whipped cream ever! The food was OK, but taxing 35 kr for a bottle of water and slow waitering is not. When we asked to split the invoice, one dessert ended up being paid twice, I'm not coming back!
